📋 Description

• Perform coding quality reviews for inpatient coding across OUH, including routine monthly reviews, focus pre-bill reviews, CDI reconciliations, and second-level review work queues • Perform peer-to-peer auditor reviews • Communicate with teams and departments to resolve immediate issues related to account reviews and code/DRG validation • Respond to coding-related questions from internal and external coding staff • Initiate the rebilling process as required on special projects • Trial tip sheets and training developed by the auditing team and provide constructive feedback • Maintain or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards • Review official data quality standards, coding guidelines, company policies and procedures, and clinical/medical resources to keep coding knowledge current • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Level 1: High School diploma or GED required • Minimum Level 1: At least 1 year of Inpatient Facility Coding Auditing or DRG Validation and at least 5 years of Inpatient facility coding required • Minimum Level 1: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC certification required • Minimum Level 2: High School diploma or GED required • Minimum Level 2: At least 3 years of Inpatient Facility Coding Auditing or DRG Validation, including at least 2 years of coding at an Academic Health Center required • Minimum Level 2: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC certification required • Minimum Level 3: Associate's degree required • Minimum Level 3: At least 5 years of Inpatient Facility Coding Auditing at an Academic Health Center required • Minimum Level 3: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC certification required • HFMA CRCR required within 6 months of hire • Candidates must reside and work full-time in AR, KS, MO, OK, or TX before their first day of employment • Ability to perform the essential job duties, with or without accommodation
