📋 Description

• Prepare detailed facade design, drafting and construction documentation • Develop plans, elevations, sections, details and shop drawings for facade systems • Interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings and specifications • Translate design concepts and technical requirements into accurate CAD drawings • Review architectural documentation to identify facade interfaces, dimensions and design requirements • Coordinate drawings with architects, engineers, contractors and internal project teams • Undertake drawing revisions based on design changes, RFIs and stakeholder feedback • Identify potential design clashes, inconsistencies or constructability issues • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, relevant standards and internal drafting requirements • Maintain drawing registers, revisions and appropriate documentation throughout the project lifecycle • Support project teams with technical facade design and drafting advice • Assist with the development and improvement of drafting standards, templates and design processes • Manage multiple drawing packages and priorities while meeting project deadlines • Provide technical notes, drafting support, and assistance in preparing technical expression reports and design documentation • Review and compare architectural, structural, and technical drawings to identify design discrepancies, inconsistencies, and areas requiring clarification • Prepare technical summaries and supporting documentation for Requests for Information (RFIs) to facilitate timely resolution and coordination with relevant stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Facade Designer, Facade Drafter, Architectural Drafter or similar technical design role • Strong proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD (non-negotiable) • Experience with Revit, Rhino, and RS Commander highly preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams • Experience with specialised façade design and drafting • Strong understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation • Experience producing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings • Good understanding of façade systems, building envelopes, glazing, aluminium systems, or related construction disciplines • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering specifications • Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy • Strong organisational and time-management skills • Qualification in Architecture; architectural background strongly preferred • Experience working on commercial, residential or large-scale building projects is advantageous
