📋 Description

• Own design and OFCI mechanical systems engineering and technical delivery for mission-critical projects • Support innovation and campus master planning to keep facilities cost-effective and energy efficient • Approve contract documents produced by outside design consultants and keep designs on schedule and budget • Provide engineering guidance on projects, operations, and systems in existing facilities • Write and maintain equipment specifications for owner-furnished, contractor-installed mechanical equipment and systems • Support procurement through vendor submittal review, approvals, and factory witness testing • Maintain the legacy basis of design and help develop new basis-of-design documents for business needs • Recommend and implement technologies that reduce energy use and cost • Set and enforce engineering and design standards, policies, and security measures • Stay current on data center engineering and design trends • Travel 25–30% domestically

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience • 5+ years in Data Center and Mission Critical • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience • Expertise in IT cooling, including air and direct-to-chip liquid cooling, plus mechanical cooling controls • Working knowledge of AutoCAD • Experience with Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle, where on-site presence or travel between work locations is an essential function • Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, twisting, bending, climbing stairs or ladders, and navigating construction terrain • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally • Ability to drive between job sites and access active construction zones, raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces • Ability to tolerate outdoor weather, dust, construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors • Ability to use required PPE, including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots • Sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage • Mechanical PE preferred but not required
