📋 Description

• Assist the Site Manager with layout of structural, civil, process, and architectural building items • Assist with procurement of construction materials • Execute purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and complete receiving reports • Perform on-site material placement surveys and report quantities weekly or as directed • Assist with scheduling construction activities and monitoring material deliveries and subcontractor performance • After two to six months, develop bid lists, issue procurement documents, review bids, and evaluate proposals • Assist in establishing and maintaining safety and QA/QC standards and conduct safety meetings • Review, log, and assimilate shop drawings and submittals • Maintain red-line as-built drawings and update construction documents • Occasionally assist with general labor and cleanup • Manage the jobsite regularly in the Site Manager’s absence • Perform and record QA/QC audits across all divisions of work and follow up on deficiencies • Assist with daily project reports and monthly man-hour reports • Make on-the-spot safety and quality decisions and escalate out-of-specification issues • Enforce Gray’s safety program and serve as on-site safety representative when needed • Investigate safety incidents and produce accurate reports • Coordinate with city officials, OSHA, and inspectors; schedule and document inspections • Assume ownership of assigned scopes of work and manage subcontractors • Maintain daily progress drawings using Bluebeam, Excel, or Assemble • Generate meeting agendas and minutes and distribute them accurately and promptly • Escalate customer-requested changes to the Site Manager and Project Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school AND a minimum of 2 years of related construction experience OR 4+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones • Strong work ethic • Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment • Passion for collaboration and professional development • Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S. • Must be eligible to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs • Accurate near and distant vision • Ability to work in wet/humid conditions, outside weather, high places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, explosives, vibration, and moderate to loud noise • Overtime may be required
