📋 Description

• Manage active and potential litigation, including evaluating claims, recommending legal strategies, coordinating internal stakeholders, and monitoring deadlines and outcomes. • Select, retain, and manage outside counsel, consultants, and other legal services providers. • Monitor litigation budgets and ensure outside counsel provides effective and cost-conscious representation. • Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical solutions that support business operations. • Support compliance with governmental trade regulations, sanctions, licensing requirements, consumer protection laws, privacy regulations, and other applicable requirements. • Research changing laws and regulations and translating legal requirements into clear guidance for employees and business leaders. • Review and respond to escalated customer complaints, disputes, and matters submitted to governmental, regulatory, or consumer organizations. • Partner with internal teams to develop fair, practical, and legally sound resolutions to customer issues. • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts and business agreements. • Provide legal guidance involving corporate governance, employment matters, privacy, intellectual property, real estate, and general business operations. • Conduct legal research and prepare written recommendations, opinions, and guidance for management. • Assist with maintaining corporate entities, licenses, resolutions, operating agreements, and legal records. • Support the development and improvement of company policies, procedures, and internal controls. • Handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school. • Active admission and good standing with a U.S. state bar. • Experience supporting litigation, dispute resolution, risk management, regulatory compliance. • Strong legal research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage responsibilities independently while working collaboratively with a broader team. • Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build productive relationships across an organization. • Practical judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with customer and business needs. • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively in fast-moving or ambiguous situations. • Willingness to obtain bar admission in Florida, Oregon, California, Texas, or Delaware if required. • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
