📋 Description

• Define and execute the engineering vision for hardware and embedded systems. • Oversee end-to-end product development, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Build and mentor a high-performing engineering organization across multiple disciplines. • People management for a mixed team of senior hardware and software engineers. • Partner with Product Management, Operations, and Quality teams to deliver innovative, market-leading solutions. • Drive technical excellence, process improvements, and continuous innovation. • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for complex, multi-phase programs.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing both hardware and embedded device software projects. • ODM and contract manufacturer relationships — SOW negotiation, acceptance testing, vendor accountability. • Strong background in engineering strategy, product development, and cross-functional collaboration. • Expertise in system architecture, hardware design, and embedded software integration. • Ability to lead large, distributed teams and drive complex programs from concept to launch. • Demonstrated experience managing senior individual contributors who need little technical direction from their manager • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain considerations, and quality assurance. • Familiarity with IoT ecosystems, connectivity protocols, and firmware development. • Commercial hardware product domain — POS, drive-through, consumer electronics, industrial, or adjacent. • Experience with compliance standards (e.g., FCC, CE) and product certifications. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and reliability. • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern development practice. • BSEE or Computer Engineering. • NPI and manufacturing transfer experience through production handoff. • Audio or Drive-Thru system experience highly preferred.
