⢠Lead and enhance the Bank's AML/CFT governance framework ⢠Develop and maintain governance standards for policies, procedures, oversight routines, and escalation processes ⢠Oversee AML/CFT governance committees and working groups, including agendas, issue escalation, meetings, decision documentation, and action tracking ⢠Assess AML/CFT processes and provide effective challenge and oversight ⢠Oversee AML/CFT program issue management and corrective action plan lifecycles ⢠Monitor and report financial crimes risks and control effectiveness ⢠Serve as a primary contact during regulatory examinations, audits, and independent reviews ⢠Monitor regulatory developments, enforcement actions, and industry trends ⢠Lead the AML/CFT Quality Control program and risk-based quality control framework ⢠Conduct trend analysis and root cause assessments ⢠Establish quality standards, review methodologies, sampling protocols, and performance metrics ⢠Monitor remediation efforts and validate corrective actions ⢠Develop and communicate quality metrics and performance results ⢠Oversee executive management and committee reporting for the AML/CFT Compliance Program ⢠Develop management information systems, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting packages ⢠Establish and monitor KRIs, KPIs, and KCIs ⢠Analyze trends related to transaction monitoring, suspicious activity, sanctions screening, customer risk profiles, investigations, and quality control outcomes ⢠Ensure data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency in reporting ⢠Present program performance, risk trends, control effectiveness, regulatory developments, and remediation progress to executive leadership ⢠Partner with Technology and Data Management teams to improve reporting, automation, data governance, and efficiency ⢠Produce ad hoc reports and analyses for strategic initiatives, examinations, audits, and regulatory inquiries ⢠Provide strategic leadership for Governance, Quality Control, and Reporting teams ⢠Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and professional development ⢠Establish performance expectations, accountability standards, and department objectives ⢠Lead resource planning and workforce management ⢠Advise AML/CFT leadership on governance, quality assurance, reporting, and financial crimes risk matters ⢠Collaborate with executives, regulators, auditors, and business line leaders ⢠Lead strategic initiatives and organizational change efforts ⢠Promote accountability, sound risk management, and compliance throughout the enterprise
⢠Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Compliance, or related field ⢠Master's degree preferred ⢠CAMS, CFCS, or CRCM preferred qualifications ⢠Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in AML/CFT Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, or related regulatory functions within the banking industry ⢠Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and complex compliance operations ⢠Experience leading governance, quality control, quality assurance, compliance testing, reporting, or oversight functions within a regulated financial institution ⢠Extensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering regulations, OFAC regulations, FinCEN requirements, the USA PATRIOT Act, and related banking regulations ⢠Experience developing and presenting executive-level, Board, Risk Committee, and Compliance Committee reporting ⢠Experience managing regulatory examinations, internal audits, independent testing reviews, and remediation programs ⢠Experience operating within a mid-sized or large financial institution, preferably one with assets exceeding $8 billion ⢠Ability to influence stakeholders, lead strategic initiatives, and drive cross-functional collaboration in a highly regulated environment ⢠Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills ⢠Ability to communicate effectively to executive management and Board-level audiences
