• Maintain and expand the assigned territory for Dairy Tech products and services • Identify new customers and achieve annual sales, revenue, and gross profit goals • Assist customers in improving production and profitability in dairy operations • Leverage animal health industry expertise to increase market share through proprietary technologies and products • Conduct targeted prospect calls and actively call on primarily dairy producer customers • Support area distribution channels in developing and executing sales growth strategies and tactics incorporating Perfect Udder Colostrum Management and other programs • Understand customer business needs and proactively recommend products and solutions • Provide customer support, answer internal and external partner questions, and solve problems promptly • Identify customer satisfaction trends to grow the territory • Ensure contract pricing and terms align with standard procedures and customer profitability profiles • Provide tracking reports on marketing and service activities and maintain accurate client history records • Meet and ideally exceed forecasted sales goals • Maintain current knowledge of industry, consumer preferences, company products, programs, market conditions, and competition • Ensure accuracy in customer orders and territory records; document interactions, sales opportunities, and financial information • Comply with company and department policies and perform other assigned duties
• Associate's Degree in Animal Science or Ag related field or equivalent education and/or experience • 3 years with a Dairy emphasis (preferred) • Proven track record of growing and maintaining a customer base of dairy herds (preferred) • Experience as a Dairy herd manager or related position (preferred) • Proven ability to cold call, build relationships, and lead in a matrixed team environment (preferred) • Proficiency in SAP or related ERP (preferred) • Working knowledge of dairy husbandry, current management practices, and nutritional guidelines • Basic command of animal nutritional and management recommendations • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills • Ability to analyze financial information • Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities • Strong attention to detail • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • General computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office • Drivers License Required • Maintain acceptable driving record • Willingness to travel 50% throughout assigned territory and elsewhere as business needs require
