📋 Description

• Service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers in the assigned region • Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, and install or replace components or entire systems • Perform maintenance and upgrades on out-of-season equipment • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure generator readiness • Read and follow blueprints and design specifications for installations and repairs • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components • Test installed components for proper operation • Respond promptly to power/generator alarms • Perform work safely around hazards including falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic • Participate in required safety and training meetings • Duties may evolve based on business and client needs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes • Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred • Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components • Moderate computer skills • Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations • Ability to comply with OSHA Standards • Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods • Ability to inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment and alarms visually and audibly • Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work day, evening, or night hours • Availability for overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required • Ability to assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and be away from home for extended periods • Ability to pass a DOT physical • Willingness to travel • Ability to respond promptly to power/generator alarms and assigned phone and email • Must use safety equipment and follow safety practices • Must attend designated safety and training meetings
