📋 Description

• Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and replace components or entire systems, and perform maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure generator readiness • Read and follow blueprints or other design specifications for installation and repair • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components • Test installed components for proper operation • Respond promptly to power/generator alarms • Answer assigned phone calls and emails promptly • Perform work safely around hazards associated with power supply equipment, switchgear, and related equipment • Use safety equipment and follow safety practices • Attend designated safety and training meetings • Service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers in the assigned region • Travel as required to support client and business needs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes • Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance preferred • Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components • Moderate computer skills • Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations • Ability to comply with OSHA Standards • Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods • Ability to inspect and/or troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively, both visually and audibly • Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work day, evening, or night hours • Ability to work overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required • Ability to assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and be away from home for extended periods • Ability to pass a DOT physical • Willingness to travel • Must be able to work in the United States; location listed as Oakland, California
