📋 Description

• Evaluate responses to test questions by California teacher candidates • Internalize scoring standards • Participate in discussions and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities • Recognize and discuss implicit, cultural, leniency, central tendency, and halo-effect biases • Apply strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring • Meet scoring-program quality and productivity requirements • Complete training and any brief orientation before scoring sessions

🎯 Requirements

• Must hold a Teaching Credential in California corresponding to the content field, have at least three years of teaching experience, and be teaching or have taught within the last three years in California; or meet one of the listed alternative qualifications • May qualify as an instructor in a California institution of higher education who has taught corresponding content-field classes within the last three years • May qualify by having served as a Single Subject Assessments for Teaching scorer in the content field • May qualify through continuing experience as a scorer after meeting a listed qualification • May qualify with authorization to teach in California public schools in the corresponding content field and current California residency • May qualify with a graduate degree in the content field and current California residency • May qualify with a bachelor's degree and several years' professional experience in the content field and current California residency • May qualify with a bachelor's and/or master's degree while being a graduate student currently teaching content-field courses in California • May qualify as a CTC-approved member of the appropriate CSET test development and/or standard setting panel and current California resident • May qualify as a CTC-approved scorer • Must be a resident of California with eligibility to work in the United States • Possess basic computer skills, including keyboard and mouse use • Ability to sit for extended periods • Ability to maintain a confidential work environment • Must pass a qualifying test before scoring

• Starting rate of $17.50 per hour • Working remotely
