📋 Description

• Compile dental insurance verification of benefit and eligibility information within the required timeframe • Accurately enter payer/insurance verification information into practice management software, including restrictions, coverage, deductibles, remaining benefits, and history • Immediately report inability to obtain verification or incomplete information to the manager • Maintain a system for initial and subsequent verification of benefits • Prepare daily reports of verification-of-benefit activities • Prepare and maintain individual patient files and documentation in an electronic HIPAA-compliant application or patient chart • Keep the supervisor informed about matters regarding verification of benefits • Represent the company professionally and maintain confidentiality, integrity, and honesty in company affairs • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • At least 2 years of experience account audits for a fast-paced dental practice • Proficiency in one or more dental software systems: Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or others • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel • Proficient in PDF and/or Foxit software • Experience working in dental offices or insurance verification preferred • Familiar with dental terminology • Strong interpersonal skills including professionalism • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Quick learner, personable, friendly, and a team player • Ability to assess problems and troubleshoot to find solutions • Excellent organizational skills • Strong customer service skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to work with multiple changing priorities • Abide by HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy policies
