📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive substance use disorder care via virtual visits • Conduct assessments and diagnosis for SUD and co-occurring conditions • Manage medications and prescribe and monitor Medication Assisted Treatment, including naltrexone and Suboxone • Address mild to moderate anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, and other co-occurring mental health conditions • Use Pelago’s Atlas AI-native EHR for documentation, evidence-based guidance, and clinical preparation • Collaborate with counselors, coaches, member operations, clinical, growth, and product teams • Develop personalized treatment plans and provide referrals • Participate in case reviews, journal clubs, grand rounds, and peer reviews • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support quality assurance and compliance • Educate patients according to their needs, abilities, and recovery goals • Help refine and implement clinical protocols, treatment standards, and policies • Commit approximately 10 hours per week supporting patients

🎯 Requirements

• Board-certified physician (MD or DO) in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another ABMS/AOA primary specialty • Psychiatry candidates require significant SUD treatment experience; Addiction Psychiatry subspecialty preferred • Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or other primary-specialty candidates require Addiction Medicine subspecialty certification (ABPM) or board eligibility • Active licensure in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensure strongly preferred • DEA registration or in process • Current state-controlled substance license or in process • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as needed • Comfort working in an AI-augmented care environment and adopting AI-assisted tools • Experience in telemedicine and advanced comfort using digital platforms and EHRs • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills • Passion for patient-centered care, innovation in addiction medicine, and continuous quality improvement • No visa sponsorship available • IMLC participation preferred • Previous digital health or telemedicine experience preferred
