📋 Description

• Develop and maintain applications written using COBOL, IDMS, and ADSO for IBM mainframe operating systems • Provide application support services for the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) project • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products • Prioritize and allocate projects, products, and resources with architects and managers • Participate in strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of software products • Make employment decisions, such as hiring and rewarding • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization • Direct software development projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards • Facilitate upward and cross-project-team communication, including project status, variance justifications, and technical information • Organize projects through project plans covering product goals, strategy, roles and responsibilities, schedules, risks, contingency plans, and resource allocation • Monitor technology trends and emerging standards for new technology opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS Diploma • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Experience with specifications for software requirement changes • Experience with design and development of software systems • Strong experience with COBOL in a mainframe environment • Experience with IDMS (Integrated Database Management System) • Experience with ADSO (Application Development System Online)
