📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end functional test scripts • Ensure automated test cases are executable by the end of each Agile sprint and delivered for the Government-managed DevSecOps pipeline • Write test cases before code development in support of Test-Driven Development, collaborating with software developers • Analyze application areas for test coverage gaps and contribute to the Test Automation State Assessment and automation completion plan • Automate adjacent legacy test cases to expand regression test coverage • Execute non-automated test cases • Assist with Requirements Traceability Matrices at the end of each development cycle or sprint • Document test activities, execution results, and defect findings in the Government-provided Test Case Management System • Contribute to Testing Reports, Release Notes, and Software Version Descriptions • Support quality thresholds • Triage, track, analyze, replicate, and escalate defects in JIRA • Support weekly defect escalation reporting and monitor customer-reported defects • Conduct WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing • Assist with VPATs, remediation reports, conformance documentation, and Section 508 compliance status reporting • Support stress and load testing in the ProdSim environment • Assist with Disaster Recovery testing with technical and operations teams • Support Independent Verification & Validation of application changes • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives • Maintain sprint-level defect tracking, test case completion status, and burn-down metrics in JIRA • Adhere to deployment pipeline standards and quality gates

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered • Alternatively, 4 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software testing roles with a high school diploma • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance • Foundational understanding of test automation principles • Experience writing automated test scripts in at least one framework or scripting language, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Python, or Java • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and DevSecOps principles • Basic experience with defect tracking tools, preferably JIRA • Understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking • Ability to document test activities and results clearly and accurately • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with developers, senior engineers, and Government stakeholders • ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent (preferred) • Exposure to SAST or DAST tools such as Fortify, Sonatype, or BURP (preferred) • Experience with Section 508 / WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing (preferred) • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration within a DevSecOps environment (preferred) • Prior experience supporting DoD or Federal government IT programs (preferred) • Exposure to Oracle or PL/SQL database environments (preferred) • Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident tracking and management (preferred)
