📋 Description

• Assist the Intake & Assessment Division in assessing and handling inquiries from the general public relating to domestic-animal and wildlife-cruelty issues • Evaluate incoming telephone calls and e-mails, provide required responses, or refer callers to appropriate staff members • Provide research support on cruelty-to-animals and animal-neglect issues • Handle cruelty-to-animals and animal-neglect cases • Maintain confidential files, correspondence files, case reports, and other departmental reports • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor • Assist with occasional after-hours responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a related field • Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns • Ability to handle calls from the public in a calm and professional manner • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality • Adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle • Proven excellent writing and research skills • Support for PETA's philosophy and ability to advocate professionally for PETA's positions on issues • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
