📋 Description

• Take ownership of new products from concept through commercialization • Lead ingredient reviews and develop product formulations • Guide products through lab testing, substantiation, and nutritional testing • Progress products through each stage of development and prepare them for launch • Track category trends, ingredient research, scientific and clinical developments, ingredient efficacy data, delivery formats, and published studies • Aggregate R&D science insights into a unified view of white space and pipeline opportunities • Translate research findings into forward-looking innovation briefs • Work with the Chief Scientist and external partners to formulate new products • Review and optimise current products and assess ingredient suitability for formulations • Work with compliance to keep ingredients, labels, and marketing claims compliant • Collaborate with NPD, operations, growth, and marketing teams to support product launches

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor & Masters of Science in a technical area including animal science and nutrition • Extensive experience with product formulation • Deep knowledge of ingredients, their mode of action, and quality variance • Experience with R&D of early-stage, unproven ingredients • Experience setting up and executing in-vitro and in-vivo trials • Experience reviewing and reporting on trial data and results • Experience clearly explaining and justifying final formulations and product formats • 5+ years of professional experience leading NPD projects as the key technical member of a cross-functional team • Hands-on experience managing complex projects through successful launches of new products, packages, and processes • Excellent oral and written communication skills • People development skills and learning agility • Experience working with outside partners to deliver project requirements • Ability to translate market intelligence, competitor activity, and scientific research into actionable innovation strategy and briefs
