📋 Description

• Directly manage and provide strategic direction, day-to-day guidance, compliance oversight, and performance management for regional Field Reimbursement Managers • Oversee patient needs assessments, reimbursement navigation, HCP office education, payer-policy clarification, account workflow optimization, and hub enrollment support • Set and enforce performance expectations aligned to national KPIs • Conduct field rides, call coaching, performance reviews, and individual development conversations • Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the regional FRM team • Manage regional budget, including headcount planning, travel spend, and program resources • Coach FRMs on end-to-end patient journey leadership from needs assessment and enrollment through therapy initiation, continuation, and case resolution • Monitor and address prior authorization delays, step edits, coding or documentation gaps, affordability concerns, coverage gaps, specialty pharmacy fulfillment issues, and enrollment abandonment • Serve as an escalation resource for complex patient access cases • Build team reimbursement expertise across payer landscapes, coverage pathways, appeals, coding, claims, and medical and pharmacy benefits • Identify payer policy trends, coverage gaps, formulary changes, documentation requirements, and reimbursement challenges • Partner with Market Access, Trade, and HEOR teams on national account strategies • Establish standards for compliant HCP and office staff education • Lead regional account-level access strategy and improve access efficiency across priority accounts and practices • Coordinate regional access leadership across Brand, National Access & Reimbursement, Field Sales, Key Account Directors, Patient Solutions, Hub partners, Legal/Compliance, and Market Access • Track, interpret, and report regional performance metrics to the National Lead • Aggregate regional insights and translate them into actionable recommendations • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and case activity • Monitor team activity and documentation for compliance adherence and required training completion

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) preferred • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical field operations, patient services, reimbursement, or access/hub management • Minimum 3–5+ years of people management experience leading, coaching, or developing field-based access, reimbursement, patient services, hub-facing, or customer-facing teams • Direct experience with specialty pharmacy, hub programs, or patient support services in a regulated environment • Strong working knowledge of benefits investigation, prior authorization, step edits, appeals, payer policy, coverage pathways, specialty pharmacy fulfillment, and insurance coverage processes • Working knowledge of medical and pharmacy billing including CPT, HCPCS/J-codes, ICD-10, NDC, Medicare Part B buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy processes, and payer-specific coverage criteria relevant to INI/specialty products • Proven ability to build reimbursement subject matter expertise across a team and translate payer policy, patient access data, and field insights into regional action plans • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams • Demonstrated ability to manage a large geographic territory and travel 50–60% of the time • Valid US driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards; any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies hiring • Preferred: experience in I&I or rare disease therapeutic areas • Preferred: familiarity with Pfizer hub infrastructure, such as PDPA or equivalent specialty pharmacy program • Preferred: prior experience leading Access and Reimbursement, patient access, hub operations, field reimbursement, or hybrid patient/HCP access support roles • Preferred: track record of improving enrollment metrics or time-to-therapy outcomes • Preferred: existing relationships with regional payer medical directors, pharmacy directors, or key account decision-makers • Preferred: experience with product launches in access and reimbursement • Preferred: experience leading through ambiguity in highly regulated, cross-functional environments • Must live within the region • Must reside near an airport, be able to travel within the region, and live within the region • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future • Requires permanent work authorization in the United States
