📋 Description

• Provide therapeutic-area and product expertise for Vaccines & Antivirals across external medical stakeholders and initiatives in an assigned U.S. territory • Plan and execute independent Medical strategy and engagement with assigned external medical stakeholders • Maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer medicines • Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and external medical stakeholder insights • Contribute to Medical educational content strategy and execute aligned Field Medical tactics • Communicate and collaborate with headquarters Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues • Deliver scientific communication through live and virtual presentations, written communication, and telephone or virtual conversations • Optimize patient-care improvements in Medical communications and deliverables • Educate external medical stakeholders on patient-care gaps, disease states, and guideline-based care • Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines and relevant topics • Provide education on clinical and economic impacts using real-world data, pharmacoeconomic analyses, outcomes evaluations, and medical presentations • Provide scientifically sound medical information through pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools, educational programs, HOPEs, non-interventional studies, and collaborations • Execute projects, collaborations, strategic medical patient-care projects, and non-interventional studies • Serve as Medical lead for assigned stakeholders by developing and executing Medical account plans • Engage Quality Improvement Organizations, Advocacy Groups, Coalitions, and medical/healthcare associations • Collaborate with internal Pfizer colleagues to understand outcomes of interest and data-analysis needs • Identify and engage priority external medical stakeholder segments • Respond to unsolicited medical requests in compliance with Pfizer policies and procedures • Lead advisory boards with manager oversight • Handle inbound queries through the established triage process • Partner with Vaccines & Antivirals R&D and Global Product Development to identify clinical-trial sites, including sites serving under-represented patient populations • Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process • Cultivate research and therapeutic-area expertise, including congress data and disease-state literature • Provide asset leadership and territory leadership • Communicate with local Patient Advocacy Groups and deliver insights on patient-organization structures and needs • Serve on Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations and societies • Mentor onboarding partners, advisory-board participants, and study leads • Participate in special projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health science required • Relevant experience required: PharmD/PhD with 5+ years of experience, MBA/MSc with 7+ years of experience, or BA/BSc with 8+ years of experience • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree highly preferred • Experience in hospital therapies, outcomes, and/or epidemiology is a plus • Clinical, formulary, and/or other management experience • Managed Care, Payer, Organized Customer, pharmaceutical industry, and/or Quality Improvement experience • Subject matter expertise in vaccines and/or antivirals recognized across internal and external stakeholders • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict constructively • Ability to manage a significant volume of projects developed in a remote environment, prioritize, implement successfully, and exercise excellent judgment • Ability to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team • Ability to lead change and adapt to organizational change • Problem-solving across the enterprise to identify solutions • Leadership and teamwork with peers, internal stakeholders, and external medical stakeholders • Self-starter who is accountable and has a sense of urgency • Clinical and technical skills • Ability to rapidly adopt and utilize new digital technology and record medical interactions • Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/external medical stakeholder interactions preferred • Previous Field Medical experience preferred • Experience applying health information technology used in the U.S. preferred • Experience with optimization/customization of top EHR platforms, including developing EHR clinical solutions preferred • Understanding of the complex business environment within the U.S. healthcare system and emerging healthcare trends preferred • Operate a Pfizer company car and regularly fly on airplanes • Proximity to an airline hub city • Flexibility to travel 40–50% of the time • Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record compliant with company standards • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify the candidate • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer • Permanent work authorization in the United States required • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
