β’ Create strategies and tactics which align to overall product approaches for national and regional payers (commercial & government), key health systems, integrated delivery networks, and other emerging customers of importance as identified. β’ Lead engagement and pull-through with national payer accounts and PBMs, including formulary positioning, coverage negotiations, and contract strategy. β’ Develop tactical plan and execution strategy in coordination with Market Access leadership, Medical, Marketing and Sales teams as applicable. β’ Analyze and understand the oncology market access environment. β’ Serve as subject matter expert on market access environment including evolving pricing/payment/reimbursement models. β’ Be a strategic leader within the commercial organization in areas of reimbursement. β’ Collaborate and communicate with internal customers on account strategy, plans, and execution. β’ Perform a range of market, financial, competitive, and industry analyses for respective areas of responsibility. β’ Solicit, embrace, and action on feedback from internal and external stakeholders. β’ Exercise sound judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as corporate policies in all activities and communications. β’ Ensure information and resources needed are available to appropriately support the financial coverage needs of patients that are candidates for marketed and pipeline products. β’ Attend and participate in meetings and conferences as needed.
β’ Prior experience presenting HEOR and budget impact modeling to payers is required. β’ Prior launch experience with oncology and/or small patient/ rare disease population products preferred. β’ Established relationships with national commercial payers, PBMs, and government accounts (e.g., CMS, VA/DoD) with demonstrated ability to influence coverage decisions. β’ Experience with both national and or regional commercial payer plans. β’ Ability to establish and enhance customer relations with industry influencers, varied and complex payer stakeholders, and key strategic partners. β’ Experience developing and executing comprehensive business development plans, budgets, and programs, both short and mid-range; to support commercial and revenue objectives of the organization. β’ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. β’ Ability to deliver reports, plans, and presentations to multiple audience types in an impactful and enthusiastic manner. β’ Strong knowledge of trends, issues, and policies impacting oncology sites of care to include both community and institutional locations. β’ Understanding of emerging oncology payer reimbursement models to include guidelines, compendium, and clinical pathway implementation. β’ Prior experience negotiating PBM contracts preferred. β’ Strong communication and negotiation skills. β’ Strong orientation to customer service and teamwork.
