📋 Description

• Monitor and validate hospital soft coded/abstracted information for specific hospital patient types • Provide education and/or training to Piedmont Healthcare coding staff on identified improvement areas • Educate Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) staff on documentation, coding, and regulatory compliance • Support Coding Quality Education (CQE) and Coding Leadership • Monitor and update Piedmont Healthcare hospital coding policies • Optimize the quality and accuracy of hospital coding services

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required • 5 years of experience in an acute care setting with auditing and/or coding management experience required • Remain current with AHA Coding Clinics, CPT Assistant, and CMS guidelines • Experience with evaluation and management (E&M) level assignment preferred • One or more required certifications upon hire: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-P, CIRCC, or AHIMA approved ICD-10 trainer • CCS-P credential in addition to one of the other listed credentials preferred • ICD-10 approved trainer through AHIMA preferred
