📋 Description

• Create a scalable process for regular communication with utility partners and timeline/status reporting to internal teams • Suggest process improvements, including better software utilization • Submit interconnection applications and track routine milestones under supervision • Enter and maintain data in Excel and Smartsheet, increasing autonomy over time • Follow auditing procedures and participate in quality control reviews • Manage application records and milestone statuses across multiple projects or markets • Keep portfolio dashboards and tracking sheets current and accurate • Verify payment transactions and milestone statuses with finance and project teams • Escalate timeline risks, discrepancies, and missing information • Update Smartsheet, Excel, and Salesforce trackers with milestone and payment statuses • Collaborate with development, engineering, and finance teams • Communicate with internal stakeholders and utility contacts regarding project timelines and procedural updates • Prepare draft summaries or entries for internal documents • Provide regular portfolio status, risk, and decision updates • Maintain a database of utility tariffs, interconnection manuals, net metering requirements, service manuals, filing resources, capacity/line resources, contacts, approval timelines, and fees • Apply utility and incentive requirements for specific utilities and programs • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional societies

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including document control • Experience working on teams and independently • Passion to learn through self-study and structured settings • Ability to coordinate across internal and external teams • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical infrastructure engineering, with a focus on utility coordination and load interconnection (preferred) • Strong understanding of electrical investor-owned utilities and grid interconnection processes (preferred) • Proven experience navigating utility processes to secure interconnection points (preferred) • Knowledge of interconnection applications, net metering, and incentive processes; experience interacting with a variety of utilities across the country (preferred) • Proficiency in data privacy and security practices • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or entry-level data visualization tools • Ability to break down complex problems, identify relationships, and recognize patterns or trends • Resourcefulness in finding information, tools, or support to address challenges
