• perform a technical edit for quality assurance on all documentation prior to delivery to the customer. • create and implement consistent writing templates and documentation style for all technical publications. • collaborate with subject matter experts when creating user guides, process documentation, new templates, and presentations. • analyze team processes to ensure efficiency and documentation completeness. • combine, edit, format, and finalize the monthly progress report. • participate in the review process. • create, edit, and maintain training material and instructional supplements. • provide high level of customer service by adopting the customer’s mission. • transcribe Meeting Minutes from recordings. • work with AI to improve functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or a related field • 3-5 years of Technical Writing/Communications experience in IT or Software development industries (or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience) • interviewing SMEs to gather technical details • creating technical manuals and quick reference guides • using accepted style manuals, such as the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS), the Microsoft Manual of Style, and VA style preference • advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, and SharePoint • ability to work independently while communicating effectively with supervisor • proven excellent oral and written communication skills • expertise writing/editing/proofreading at all levels • ability to use graphics effectively to communicate ideas • ability to revise one’s own work or the work of others to make documents clearer and more persuasive • ability to convey complex information to audiences with different levels of knowledge. • experience in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment. • experience with AI tools is a plus.
