• Commission, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on Plug Power products, including hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment • Travel to various customer sites, potentially up to 100% of the time • Execute and lead high-level service repair projects on existing hydrogen infrastructure, including liquid tank and vacuum jacket line repairs • Train first responders, customers, and Plug service personnel on hydrogen infrastructure troubleshooting, maintenance, and service • Support commissioning and ongoing maintenance and operation of industrial hydrogen infrastructure • Interpret electrical wiring schematics and construction drawings/P&IDs • Conduct point-to-point functionality testing and pressure testing of piping systems per ASME standards • Test and troubleshoot program issues with engineering assistance • Inspect process piping systems, including pressure ratings and fittings • Document system testing and commissioning results at project completion • Create, track, and close out project task lists • Interface professionally with customer stakeholders and external vendors • Maintain safety focus and educate relevant parties on safe hydrogen equipment and infrastructure operation • Share process improvement and cost-saving ideas with project team and management • Represent Plug Power professionally and perform other assigned duties
• Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field • Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field of study preferred • Or in lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field • Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 100% • Industrial gas or high-pressure systems experience highly preferred • Superior communication and interpersonal skills • High level of skill with mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair • Ability to diagnose system failures and isolate root cause • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for reporting and email correspondence • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and P&IDs • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical specifications • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and meet project commitments/objectives without sacrificing workmanship or quality • Ability to safely operate and control combustibles • Ability to diagnose system problems and troubleshoot solutions • Knowledge of environmental impact on equipment function and performance
