📋 Description

• Facilitate Portage Learning courses for an assigned student roster • Interact with students at least once per day, Monday through Friday, except holidays and vacation days • Grade student exams and lab work and review student modules • Communicate with students regarding course progress • Answer student questions through the integrated messaging system • Identify underperforming students and recommend study strategies, increased facilitator contact, and outside resources • Support the Department Chair with periodic course reviews based on distance-learning best practices and developments in the field • Cover vacations for colleagues • Attend three faculty meetings each year, virtually or in person • Participate in Faculty Development Program opportunities • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or Masters degree in a field related to the subject matter for Portage Learning courses • Fluency in Spanish • Ability to teach in one or more of the following courses in addition to Spanish: English Composition, US History, Global Religions, Introduction to Ethics (Biomedical), Introduction to Sociology, or Foundations of Public Speaking • Successful completion of a background check • Current and/or ability to obtain Child Abuse, State Police, FBI Fingerprinting, and Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse clearances • Excellent working knowledge of field of work • Ability to work well with administrative staff, faculty, and students • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and achieve desired results • Evidenced ability to evaluate and review curriculum • Problem-solving and conflict-management ability • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and public speaking skills • Service-oriented focus on helping others • Must be able to travel to the office located in Chippewa Township, PA, and/or other suitable venues for mandatory Faculty Meetings • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Employment Visa sponsorship is unavailable
