📋 Description

• Perform psychiatric and mental health consultations • Review all documentation provided by Independent Medical Examinations for adequacy, consistency, and credibility • Communicate discrepancies and other issues between the IME provider and the Mental Health Reviewing Consultant • Study documentation and submit written recommendations to the Contracting Officer’s Representative or Nurse Consultant via secure electronic transmission within ten business days • Evaluate judgment and ability to safely perform essential duties for employees in weapon-carrying or public safety positions • Determine whether an employee is fit or not fit to safely and efficiently perform essential duties • Address whether the condition is disqualifying, whether recurrence cannot be ruled out, and whether recurrence would pose a significant risk of substantial harm

🎯 Requirements

• Current, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia • Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology • Minimum of five years of experience demonstrating knowledge of forensic law enforcement hiring/screening experience and Office of Personnel Management policies about Federal hiring • Experience performing psychiatric and mental health consultations and submitting written recommendations • Ability to review IME documentation for adequacy, consistency, and credibility • Experience reviewing FFDE cases for psychological and psychiatric illness of law enforcement preferred • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance • Favorable background investigation required • Subject to client approval and contract award
