• Participate in the system-wide, physician-led Value Analysis process • Assess product function and cost across the clinical spend landscape using cost, quality, and patient outcome data • Create and manage financial spend analyses • Conduct supply chain operations analyses and identify operational enhancements, transformation, and savings opportunities • Create and interpret spreadsheets, presentations, and other deliverables using Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project • Analyze medical and surgical products to identify savings opportunities • Create client and internal presentations and quality deliverables • Identify business and technical problems and develop innovative solutions with the team • Conduct research, collect and analyze data, and use results to drive recommendations • Participate in assessment, design, implementation, client meetings, observations, data collection, analysis, and operational tactical work • Advise clients on supply chain, finance, healthcare, or consulting operations to achieve savings and efficient processes • Identify stakeholders and establish ongoing relationships • Identify cost savings opportunities based on organizational spend • Measure and document financial, quality, and service success of the Value Analysis process • Educate and orient client Value Analysis Team members • Collaborate with Value Analysis Team Chairs, Champions, multidisciplinary team members, Buyers, Analysts, clinicians, materials management, business analysis colleagues, and leadership • Facilitate consensus by presenting product, service, or equipment impact analyses • Review clinical spend landscapes, Spend Advisor, ERP reports, new item reports, and product change requests • Provide guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to fellow analysts • Coordinate product evaluations • Identify utilization and waste reduction opportunities • Develop meeting agendas, document minutes, create data presentations, and manage project plans • Support and oversee implementation strategies across the organization • Collaborate on contract parameters, cost, market share, and rebate incentives • Communicate Value Analysis activities, results, and decisions throughout the enterprise • Support Value Analysis initiatives through the organization’s contract process • Keep the team informed of Value Analysis trends, tools, and best practices • Grow healthcare supply chain subject matter knowledge
• 2 or more years of applicable experience • High School Diploma or GED (Required) • CVAHP • Intermediate analytical/financial capacity within a consulting firm, in healthcare supply chain, healthcare provider supply chain, or similar • Fluent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Project • Access/SQL experience a plus • Demonstrated capability to lead and show value from efforts • Business Operations Analysis • Supply Chain Operations Management • Operational Process Improvements • 2+ years combined clinical experience in a hospital setting with direct Value Analysis experience in an integrated delivery network or other large system • Experience analyzing healthcare processes toward improving patient outcomes • Bachelor’s degree listed as preferred • Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods • Ability to adapt, change priorities quickly, and meet deadlines • Attention to detail • Ability to operate computer programs and software • Ability to communicate effectively in person and electronically • Ability to work collaboratively in close quarters with peers and interruptions • Ability to make independent decisions • Travel 21–40% within the US • Sedentary physical work involving up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
