📋 Description

• Validate/review and assign applicable CPT, ICD-10, Modifiers and HCPCS codes for inpatient, outpatient and physicians office/clinic settings • Adhere to coding and compliance guidelines • Maintain knowledge of coding/billing updates and payer-specific coding guidelines for multi-specialty medical practices • Resolve assigned pre-billing edits • Communicate billing-related issues and participate in meetings to improve the overall billing process • Provide feedback to providers to clarify and resolve coding concerns • Assist in identifying areas needing additional training • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned • Associate degree preferred • Two (2) years professional coding experience • Certified Professional Coder-CPC certification • Knowledge of governmental and commercial payer guidelines • Ability to utilize appropriate coding software and coding resources to determine correct codes • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier) • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database • Data entry skills • Mathematical skills
