📋 Description

• Serve as PrizePicks’ public representative to state legislators, regulators, governors, and attorneys general • Build coalitions and relationships with third-party stakeholders, peers, competitors, casino operators, tribal gaming communities, and others in the gaming ecosystem • Lead legislative and regulatory strategy development and engagement across assigned jurisdictions • Keep internal company stakeholders informed on progress toward company goals • Collaborate with communications, legal, product, and marketing teams to tell the PrizePicks story and support its user community • Manage external firms and lobbyists for maximum impact and efficiency • Attend frequent stakeholder meetings, political organization conferences, and industry and relationship-building events • Report to the VP of Public Affairs

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in policy, government, and/or campaign roles • Strong grasp of politics, media and communications, the legislative process, and familiarity with technology, consumer apps, and gaming issues • Ability to distill complex competitive and policy dynamics into short, high-impact, politically attuned messaging for internal and external audiences • Ability to quickly forge connections and build internal and external relationships • Aptitude for finding creative ways to secure wins in rapidly changing environments across multiple jurisdictions • Ability to pass key personnel submissions and background checks as part of gaming licenses • Competitive mindset and passion for ensuring consumers have access to innovative new options • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
