📋 Description

• Own monitoring and triage of SIEM-ingested events and alerts • Tune detection content, reduce false positives, and close coverage gaps • Lead the design and continuous improvement of incident response playbooks • Lead proactive threat hunting for malicious or anomalous activity • Strengthen digital forensics processes, tooling, investigations, and evidence handling • Drive automation for alerting, enrichment, and triage workflows • Lead incident response and coordinate with business partners • Document incidents, root causes, and remediation • Own structured, blameless post-incident reviews with root-cause analysis and tracked action items • Evolve incident response metrics, escalation paths, and program priorities

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building or significantly maturing a SOC/IR function, taking a program from early-stage to production-ready • 5+ years in a SOC, incident response, or detection engineering role, with demonstrated ownership of an IR or monitoring program outside of queue work • Strong grasp of the full incident response lifecycle: preparation, detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned • Hands-on SIEM experience, including log ingestion, correlation rules, and detection tuning • Experience with forensic analysis and evidence handling across host and cloud environments • Ability to build automation/scripting for triage and response using Python or similar • Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure and common attacker TTPs using MITRE ATT&CK • Ability to define risk in technical and business-relevant terms • Clear written communication for playbooks and incident documentation • SIEM tooling experience in log correlation, alert tuning, and content development • Digital forensics fundamentals covering host, network, and/or cloud evidence collection and analysis • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and common threat actor TTPs • Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, OSCP, or equivalent • SOAR platform experience and prior fintech, gaming, or high-fraud-risk industry experience are stand-out qualifications • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
