📋 Description

• Perform professional environmental services, including consulting, program planning, information management, assessment, characterization, monitoring, social assessment, field logistics, sampling, studies, analysis, compliance, advisory services, impact statements, and assessments • Conduct assessments and investigations under NEPA, RCRA, and CERCLA • Support remediation and reclamation activities • Provide expertise in environmental science, geography, archaeology, chemistry, botany, biology, or related fields • Conduct scientific research and interpret research data • Communicate scientific concepts to diverse audiences • Work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment • Support grant writing, project management, and budget oversight for research projects

🎯 Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in agriculture, agronomy, plant science, animal science, soil science, agricultural economics, environmental science, or a related field • Experience conducting scientific research, preferably in agriculture or related disciplines • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to communicate scientific concepts effectively to diverse audiences • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment • Experience in grant writing, project management, and budget oversight for research projects is preferred • Knowledge of USDA programs, priorities, and initiatives related to agricultural research and development is desirable • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in research practices and team dynamics
