📋 Description

• Research, draft, and edit pleadings, motions, and briefs for impact litigation • Participate in discovery activities including document review, witness interviews, and depositions • Engage with clients, outside counsel, and non-litigation external stakeholders • Research and devise innovative legal arguments and potential litigation approaches • Help develop ideas for integrated advocacy projects • Manage cases including legal filings and maintaining materials • Collaborate with communications and policy teams

🎯 Requirements

• One to five years of legal experience (including clerkships) • Enthusiasm for and commitment to Protect Democracy’s nonpartisan approach • Exceptional analytical skills, writing, and presentation skills • Ability to track, prioritize, and balance diverse responsibilities • Ability to foster collaborative relationships across diverse teams • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for feedback • Nimbleness and ability to perform well in a dynamic environment • Commitment to democratic norms and institutions • (Preferred) Experience in election law or voting rights law • (Preferred) Experience in impact litigation or supporting policy advocacy
