📋 Description

• Lead professional coding operations across the health system • Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding of professional services • Develop and implement coding strategies, standards, and best practices • Drive performance, quality, productivity, and compliance outcomes • Partner with clinical, operational, compliance, and revenue cycle leaders to improve processes and results • Support organizational goals through effective management of coding teams and resources • Support claim submission, regulatory reporting, quality initiatives, and population health programs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an AHIMA accredited HIM program or another healthcare-related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 10 or more years of extensive background in ICD-10-CM coding and official coding guidelines • 7 years of management/supervisory experience overseeing coding operations and teams • Experience standardizing complex and disparate processes and maintaining common processes to standards across multiple facilities and settings • Proven history of proactively identifying, resolving, and escalating issues impacting business outcomes • Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, and operational improvement in complex systems
