📋 Description

• Research and evaluate the accounting impact of significant new, complex, or non-recurring transactions • Prepare technical accounting position papers and memos for Financial Reporting and SOX leadership review • Monitor new and emerging Accounting Standards Updates (ASUs) and SEC guidance • Maintain accounting policies and lead implementation of significant accounting changes • Use Big 4 accounting research tools and training resources • Prepare technical accounting analyses covering revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, EPS, debt, equity, investments, and other complex matters • Review and approve Chart of Accounts creation and maintenance • Support preparation and review of workpapers underlying Forms 10-Q and 10-K • Own and operate key SOX controls within assigned areas • Coordinate with external auditors on walkthroughs, documentation requests, and technical accounting matters • Maintain thorough, audit-ready documentation • Partner with Compensation to forecast stock-based compensation expense • Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and business teams on accounting and reporting implications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Active CPA • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience • Significant Big 4 public accounting experience • Strong, current knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements • Ability to research technical accounting issues and prepare clear, well-supported position papers and memos • Experience with stock-based compensation (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), revenue (ASC 606), debt, and business combinations • Public company experience • Working understanding of SOX internal controls and the external audit process • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Excellent communication and cross-functional partnering skills • Ability to operate in a fast-paced financial close environment with ownership and autonomy • Technical accounting or National Office experience preferred • Fintech or SaaS industry experience preferred • Hands-on NetSuite and/or Oracle experience preferred • Workiva experience preferred
