• Lead and manage design, preconstruction, and construction activities for assigned projects • Manage multiple campus projects and maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports • Create and communicate monthly development program and project updates for executive-level review • Develop master development programs, campus design solutions, and capital budgets with stakeholders and project teams • Manage entitlement and permitting needs • Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans • Maintain campus master plans • Write scopes of work and participate in procurement and project cost estimates • Evaluate and level proposals for design, construction, and commissioning services • Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery with strategic procurement • Coordinate submittals with site stakeholders • Monitor project budgets and cost-to-date • Establish schedules and manage teams to on-time completion • Review and approve contractor monthly pay applications • Review change orders and negotiate pricing • Establish site construction security procedures • Develop and communicate product deployment plans • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams on custom client solutions • Serve as liaison with key QTS stakeholders • Represent QTS interests in OAC meetings • Build relationships supporting QTS’s data center real estate leadership • Aid due diligence for potential new sites • Enhance project management processes and protocols
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience • Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures • Experience managing Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to closeout • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time • US citizenship required by law due to federal customer contracts • MBA, Master’s in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable • Experience delivering mission-critical data center facilities preferred • Extensive experience managing MEP trades preferred
