📋 Description

• Perform testing, maintenance, and repair of low- and medium-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control, and other electrical apparatus in the shop and field • Perform Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and timing tests on low- and medium-voltage breakers • Complete mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including teardown, refurbishment, and parts replacement • Wire circuit breakers • Utilize and accurately read test equipment • Read schematics and wiring drawings • Troubleshoot circuit breaker controls • Read and plot time-current curves • Test transformers, including Power Factor and TTR • Accurately and consistently document using Power DB • Work with electrical tools and socket sets • Travel approximately 50% overnight

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma • 1-5 years’ related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance • Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing • NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferred • Ability to reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications • Ability to perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, and management ability • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) • Valid driver’s license and good driving record • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing • Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) preferred • Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college preferred • Similar experience and training from the military, including Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or Navy Seabee, preferred
