📋 Description

• Provide strategic advisory and consulting services to electric utilities supporting grid modernization initiatives • Focus on SCADA and EMS systems, with working knowledge of ADMS technologies • Conduct current-state assessments of utility operations and operational technology • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, business process workshops, executive workshops, and planning sessions • Develop business cases, modernization strategies, strategic recommendations, implementation roadmaps, and technology roadmaps • Assess operational technology maturity and modernization readiness • Develop operational use cases and functional, technical, integration, cybersecurity, and non-functional requirements • Develop system architecture and integration strategies and review solution architectures and technical designs • Advise on procurement strategies, RFPs, vendor evaluations, demonstrations, due diligence, contract negotiations, and Statements of Work • Serve as the owner’s engineer during implementation and support governance, testing, operational readiness, and risk mitigation • Build relationships with utility executives, operational leadership, and project stakeholders • Prepare executive presentations, steering committee updates, and strategic recommendations • Support proposal development, client pursuits, thought leadership, conferences, webinars, mentoring, and practice development

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting electric utility operational technology, including SCADA, EMS, ADMS, or related systems • Experience supporting electric utility consulting; SCADA/EMS software vendor implementation, engineering, product management, or professional services; or electric utility engineering, system operations, operational technology, transmission/distribution operations, or control center organizations
