📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day safety operations on assigned projects • Supervise, coach, and provide direction to Safety Coordinators • Coordinate safety coverage based on manpower, shifts, work areas, and project risk • Maintain an active field presence and conduct regular safety inspections • Identify hazards and work with project leadership to establish effective controls • Oversee high-risk activities including lifting and rigging, fall protection, confined space, LOTO, hot work, excavation, hydrostatic testing, and aerial work platforms • Review and monitor JHAs, AHAs, PTPs, HRAs, permits, and lift plans • Lead site-level incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions • Track corrective actions from inspections, incidents, audits, and client findings • Coordinate required safety training, orientations, and emergency preparedness • Maintain accurate project safety documentation and records • Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, clients, and GCs to address safety concerns • Serve as the primary site safety representative for clients and general contractors • Monitor safety performance, trends, recurring hazards, and corrective actions • Exercise Stop Work authority when conditions present serious or unacceptable risk

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of construction, industrial, mechanical, or occupational safety experience • Previous safety leadership or supervisory experience preferred • OSHA 30-Hour Construction required • Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices • Experience with incident investigations, hazard assessments, inspections, and corrective-action management • Strong understanding of high-risk construction activities • Ability to lead, coach, and develop Safety Coordinators and field personnel • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety/project technology platforms • CSHO, CHST, ASP, OSHA 510/500, First Aid/CPR/AED, or competent-person credentials preferred • Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work in active construction environments • PPE is required on applicable job sites
