📋 Description

• Serve as subject matter expert on R1 benefit programs and insurance plans • Manage the benefits compliance calendar and coordinate timely completion of activities • Develop benefits and wellness communications and educational materials with the Communications team • Explain benefit programs and occasionally present to Associates • Resolve complex, non-routine benefits issues • Provide project management support for benefit-related projects • Monitor regulatory and legal updates and develop compliance recommendations • Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal IT teams on system requirements, integrations, and electronic files • Troubleshoot integration issues and oversee enhancements to ensure data integrity • Manage Workday benefits configuration, vendor integrations, and new program implementations • Improve the benefits onboarding experience for new Associates • Audit benefit enrollment records, invoices, payroll deductions, and resolve discrepancies • Respond to Associate inquiries accurately, timely, and professionally • Evaluate benefit programs and utilization with consultants and vendors and propose changes • Assist with focus groups and Associate surveys • Coordinate Open Enrollment, including plan renewals, documentation, carrier integration changes, workflow testing, and reporting • Prepare reports and conduct analysis for decision-making, audits, administration issues, and ad hoc requests • Identify efficiency and process improvement opportunities, investigate root causes, and develop preventive solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience, including at least 2 years specifically related to the role • Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree • Prior experience and basic working knowledge of Workday, including payroll deductions and integrations • Basic reporting knowledge • Experience with benefits administration services and systems • Experience conducting benefit presentations, benefit fairs, or Associate onboarding sessions virtually • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred • Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and manipulating data in various formats • Basic working knowledge of group insurance plan processing and administration for self-insured and fully insured designs • Experience overseeing system configuration, interfaces, implementations, and change management for an HRIS system and/or new benefit programs • Experience coordinating with IT/technical, internal, and vendor teams • Ability to handle sensitive healthcare and confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory or policy requirements • Knowledge of benefits compliance, data analysis and reporting, project planning and coordination, benefits communication and education, attention to detail, customer service, and process improvement
