• Receive and review referrals for Interventional Radiology procedures and consultations • Ensure required clinical, demographic, insurance, and imaging documentation is complete • Coordinate referrals, outpatient procedures, follow-up visits, and scheduling • Obtain missing information and provide backup scheduling support as needed • Obtain prior authorizations when required • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records • Distribute consultation reports to appropriate parties • Communicate with patients, referring physicians, hospital staff, and insurance companies • Facilitate a prompt, helpful, and efficient referral and scheduling process
• Radiology and/or medical office experience preferred • Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills with attention to detail • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion • Positive, cooperative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Comfort working with hospital patient information systems and radiology workflows • Knowledge of Interventional Radiology procedures and medical terminology • Strong computer, communication, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, judgment, and confidentiality skills
