📋 Description

• Analyze data and prepare MS Excel, MS Word/PowerPoint briefing documents to support a variety of solid waste policy and planning, financial, accounting, and economic studies under the direction of team members, including implementation for recycling, composting and other programs. • Analyze data and prepare MS Excel based business forecasting models and MS Word/ PowerPoint briefing documents to support a variety of solid waste policy and planning, financial, accounting, and economic studies under the direction of team members, including implementation for recycling, composting and other programs. • Under guidance of project managers, work independently and have the ability to switch between projects quickly to meet milestones and deliverables. • When working in California, seek alignment with Proposition 218 requirements in the financial planning and decision-making processes. • Support senior staff in the development and execution of project work, business development, and marketing activities, and lead junior staff in the management and execution of project work. • Assist in benchmarking surveys and industry research. • Communicate with clients to gather data and other relevant project information. • Utilize public speaking and technical writing skills to produce, edit, and present reports, proposals, briefing documents, and presentations in a clear and succinct manner. • Maintain effective, professional attributes while dealing with clients & colleagues.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (planning, sustainability, business, accounting, finance or other related fields) • A minimum of 3 years working on projects in the solid waste and/or sustainability industry • Strong proficiency and experience with MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint; ability to create report templates, modify report templates • Critical thinking skills; ability to formulate multiple solutions to problems, test hypothesis and develop solutions based on analysis • Ability to work under multiple project managers with competing deadlines and deliverables • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Familiarity and comfort with AI tools. • Willing and able to travel overnight as needed
