📋 Description

• Handle all aspects of litigation involving debt collection matters • Attend court hearings in Florida when required • Sign pleadings and settle cases • Review correspondence and files for appropriateness • Review answers and prepare discovery and dispositive motions • Prepare for and conduct trials • Represent clients in pre-suit and post-judgment matters • Provide analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks • Keep abreast of changes in state or local rules • Independently manage an assigned caseload • Develop strategies that comply with state and federal rules, regulations, and compliance standards • Perform other attorney tasks as assigned • Travel for work-related activities as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Licensure is required with admission to the Florida Bar • Background in civil litigation • Experience attending court proceedings • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws • Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations • Ability to draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, and other legal documents • Ability to write, review, and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize and organize high volumes of information • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm • Knowledge of Bankruptcy Law, Foreclosure Law, or the FDCPA/FCRA/TCPA is a plus • Experience in collection law and/or significant courtroom experience is a plus • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
