📋 Description

• Lead finance and accounting for Real's ancillary product businesses, including Real Wallet and Mortgage • Report to the Assistant Controller • Oversee accounting managers and analysts embedded within each ancillary business line • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables • Ensure accurate, timely, US GAAP-compliant financial statements • Establish and maintain internal controls and segregation of duties • Coordinate internal and external audit support and implement audit recommendations • Oversee treasury, cash management, and liquidity monitoring • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements across payments and mortgage activities • Serve as primary finance business partner to Wallet and Mortgage leaders • Assess accounting implications of new products, features, and business models • Partner with Product, R&D, Legal, and Operations on new initiatives • Provide financial analysis, profitability assessments, and scenario planning • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting managers, controllers, and analysts • Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiencies • Support special projects including system implementations, process redesign, and business expansion

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA certification required • Big 4 audit firm experience required • 8-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience • 3+ years managing accounting staff • Experience overseeing accounting and reporting for multiple business lines or products simultaneously • Experience in fintech/payments, mortgage, or other regulated financial services is a strong plus • Demonstrated experience partnering with product/business teams on new initiatives and evaluating their accounting implications • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint required • Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP) • Proven experience managing and developing accounting staff • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and fast-changing environments • Candidates must be based in the U.S. to be considered • Ability to sit for long periods of time • Legally authorized to work in the United States
