📋 Description

• Design the connected journey from first touch to paying customer across onboarding, activation, upgrade, and billing • Own billing, payments, and pricing surfaces, including plans, usage, invoices, upgrade and downgrade flows, payment methods, dunning, and pricing pages • Design first-run and activation experiences from signup to first successful deploy and habit formation • Run user testing, interviews, quick validation, and experiments to improve activation, conversion, and retention • Ship small, confident increments across a wide product surface and prioritize details by impact • Partner with product, engineering, data, marketing, and finance • Advocate for users in pricing and revenue discussions • Contribute concepts and a point of view to the design-led discovery track through weekly critiques • Participate in weekly design critiques and deep cross-functional collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience • Real work designing for developers or technical users • Experience designing products for software engineers, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, APIs, or another technical product • Exceptional taste and craft at speed • Experience running user testing and interviews • Experience designing and reading experiments • Rigor with complex, high-stakes billing, payments, and pricing flows • Strong information architecture • Portfolio showing a coherent journey from first touch through activation to paying customer • Understanding of services, deploys, and how developers work • Strong product judgment under fast launch velocity • Clear, direct communication and collaborative work with product, engineering, data, and finance partners • Experience with usage-based or resource-metered billing is a bonus • Experience with billing, payments, subscriptions, checkout, or pricing surfaces is a nice-to-have • Track record of measurable activation, conversion, or retention growth wins is a nice-to-have • Comfort with experimentation tooling and reading data is a nice-to-have • Design-engineering literacy and comfort near code, motion, or prototyping is a nice-to-have • Writing, talks, or side projects demonstrating craft and point of view are a nice-to-have • Generally authorized to work in the United States; new visa sponsorship is generally unavailable
