📋 Description

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions • Prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports • Assist the Area Controller with internal controls, company policies, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and statutory requirements • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data and analyze financial statements under GAAP and company policy • Assist with management of accounting personnel and provide direction across accounting functional areas • Support annual budgeting and interim forecasting, including analytical review • Support accounting aspects of capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements • Assist with internal audits, external audits, and peer reviews • Respond to information requests from corporate departments and regional and area financial management • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Accounting experience • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Intermediate-level MS Excel skills • Initiative to research and follow up on non-standard situations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures • Effective and professional interpersonal communication across various organizational levels and with external customers and vendors • Strong analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment • Experience with general ledger software and industry-standard programs • Experience with Oracle accounting software and industry-standard programs
