📋 Description

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, including monthly revenue and cost of gas estimates • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts • Review and submit payment for monthly supplier commodity and third-party pipeline invoices • Research and resolve billing issues • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes • Ensure accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements • Analyze variances and provide explanations to management • Support external audits by preparing schedules and documentation • Process journal entries and monthly reconciliations for assigned accounts • Support budgeting, forecasting, and corporate tax data requests • Collaborate with partners across business segments • Identify process improvement and automation opportunities • Prepare regulatory reporting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 3+ years of accounting experience • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external business partners • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis • Current or future sponsorship is not supported or available • Utility accounting experience is a plus • CPA (or working toward) preferred but not required • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Great Plains and AI tools is a plus • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Flexibility and adaptability in a deadline-driven environment
