📋 Description

• Support the month-end close process by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing journal entries, account reconciliations, and related financial information • Perform accounting activities related to eliminations, intercompany transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other Corporate Accounting Operations responsibilities • Prepare and analyze financial statements, statutory accounts, reports, and supporting documentation • Review and oversee accounting work prepared by offshore team members for quality, accuracy, compliance, and internal controls • Conduct ad hoc analysis and support projects that improve reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and business insight • Partner with cross-functional teams to research accounting issues, resolve questions, and communicate financial impacts • Resolve moderately complex to complex accounting matters with limited direction • Support an effective control environment and the team’s financial reporting obligations • Report to the Business Intelligence Lead, Corporate Accounting • Serve as an individual contributor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • 5 or more years of experience in an accounting or finance role • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office • Experience using Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Close attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently • Ability to evaluate complex accounting issues and determine appropriate approaches • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Preferred: Prior SQL, Power Query, VBA, or other coding/automation experience • Preferred: Experience in the health insurance industry • Preferred: Month-end close experience • Preferred: Previous experience with Databricks • Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active pursuit of CPA certification • Must meet home internet requirements of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid home/office work • Must work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
