📋 Description

• Own revenue, accounts receivable, close, reporting, and internal controls for a fast-growing line of business • Partner closely with Operations, Billing, and Finance leadership • Build scalable processes meeting GAAP standards and healthcare regulations • Prepare and record journal entries for complex transactions involving equity, debt, leases, internally developed software, intercompany transactions, and other areas • Prepare intercompany journal entries and reconciliations for multiple entities and transactions • Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations • Build vendor trend analysis and monitor vendor spend by function • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements • Investigate GL-related inquiries and implement process improvements with accounting and cross-functional stakeholders • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of account balances • Analyze financial statements and GL data for discrepancies, errors, and other issues for the Manager’s attention • Research accounting issues for GAAP compliance and communicate findings • Update and follow company accounting procedures and processes • Strengthen and document internal controls • Fulfill ad hoc management requests • Assist with interim and year-end audits and prepare timely, accurate deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong proficiency in US GAAP and accounting for complex transactions • Experience with ASC 842 and ASC 350 • Experience in public accounting involving GAAP compliance and presenting findings to management is highly desirable • Meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills (verbal and written) • Strong ability to conduct flux analysis, identify trends and discrepancies, and propose effective solutions • Proactive in identifying process inefficiencies and offering suggestions for improvements • Self-directed, able to perform responsibilities independently with minimal direction • Proven track record of working with multiple departments to provide financial insights and improve processes • Strong desire to be a team player and help in whatever capacity possible • Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Coupa • Advanced skills in Excel, GSuite, and other financial analysis tools • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • CPA designation is a plus • Healthcare industry experience is a plus • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, start-up environment is preferred • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods, perform required physical movements, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds
