• Handle complex accrual-based accounting tasks for multiple clients with minimal direction from Controllers • Maintain assigned clients within approved budgets and scope on an accrual basis • Track time on client engagements and manage work within established budgets • Explain budget variances and lead client meetings • Provide high-level customer service and financial insight • Partner with third-party advisors and client stakeholders • Write and update Client Procedure Manuals • Support clients transitioning out of Implementation through stabilization and ongoing service delivery • Navigate complex or undefined client situations • Identify inefficient processes and workflows and recommend improvements • Own and execute accurate, timely month-end close and financial reporting • Perform class reporting, job costing, trend analysis, and variance review • Review work for accuracy and completeness and ensure timely month-end inputs • Update KPIs, dashboards, reports, and budgets in Jirav • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including unbilled revenue, deferred income, and bad debt allowances • Manage fixed and intangible asset accounting, depreciation and amortization schedules, and asset journal entries • Process payroll using Intuit or other third-party payroll applications • Review W-2, W-3, 941, and state U/E reports and resolve payroll discrepancies • Record, analyze, and maintain financing transactions, including loans and investments • Review lease agreements and determine short-term and long-term classification under applicable accounting standards • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, property tax filings, and client-specific business and franchise tax payments • Assist with 1099s and year-end payroll inclusions • Research and resolve technical accounting issues • Prepare cash management flash reports and support audits, budgeting, and forecasting • Track inventory and identify unusual or unexpected results • Leverage technology to drive efficiency and scalability • Collaborate with Accountants and Associates supporting transactional work • Provide direction on assigned tasks and month-end close expectations • Maintain accountability for final deliverables and coach peers • Partner with assigned Associates during and after client transitions • Support documentation gathering for budgets, forecasts, and annual audits • Exchange data and reports with client third-party advisors • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed
• 5+ years performing full charge bookkeeping • 2+ years using QuickBooks and/or NetSuite, including daily transaction processing, monthly close, and financial reporting • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and procedures • Enhanced knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, prepaids/accruals, capitalization, financing, job costing, and regulatory tax requirements • Experience working with clients transitioning out of Implementation through stabilization and ongoing service delivery • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Experience managing client engagements within defined budgets and scope • Experience monitoring utilization, explaining variances, and proactively addressing risks • Experience coordinating and reviewing transactional work performed by Accountants and Associates • Self-directed, highly motivated, and proactive • Highly organized and process-driven • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills • Proven experience meeting deadlines • Comfortable delegating tasks and providing feedback • Strong customer service skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Comfortable interacting with clients via phone and webcam • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently and as a team player • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook • Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct • Experience with third-party applications such as Bill.com, Tallie, Jirav, and TeamWork is preferred • Ongoing desire to expand knowledge of new technology and applications • AIPB, a 2-year associate’s degree in an accounting-related field, or Minor in Accounting preferred but not required • Must submit a resume and cover letter explaining fit for the position • Must include salary requirements in the cover letter
