📋 Description

• Record the cost of newly added fixed assets • Track existing assets and calculate and record asset depreciation • Account for disposed fixed assets across multiple Health System locations • Compile financial statements, review data, and ensure financial compliance related to fixed assets • Review the general ledger and ensure fixed asset project data is correct and complete in Strata • Ensure fixed asset projects remain within the approved budget • Communicate and follow up with project managers on fixed asset project status • Ensure Construction in Progress is correct and place fixed assets into service based on the date first used • Prepare fixed asset audit schedules and assist auditors during annual and other audits • Analyze transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment • Ensure new fixed assets are tagged • Support team members entering fixed asset requests into Strata • Manage processes and projects related to financial data reporting, including delegating and reviewing work • Provide onboarding, guidance, coaching, and training to other employees • Complete other special projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience • Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in the accounting field • Proficient with automated accounting systems, general ledger, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc. • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proven ability to work with all levels of the organization and manage multiple projects at once • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees • May require flexibility in work schedule to meet operational needs • Previous experience in Strata and Workday systems preferred • MBA, CPA, CIA or equivalent preferred • Five (5) to eight (8) years progressively more responsible accounting experience in fixed assets accounting, general accounting or finance preferred • Two (2) years of public accounting experience preferred • Previous experience with fixed assets accounting, audit, and internal controls preferred • Demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion preferred
